My Canon canoscan 8800F scanner review is now finnished and online. http://www.stockholmviews.com/canon_8800f_review/8800fpage1.html
This nice flatbed scanner with film scanning capacity seams to be a competative
alternative in its price segment.
I bought this scanner for this review and I have nothing in relation with Canon.
In short my review is unbiased and independent.

The Canon 8800F review ended up to become 10 pages, the last parts of the review covers
some more or less radical tweaks, just to make sure that there is no
hidden performance unrevealed in this scanner !

This includes glass less scanning and wet scanning experiments with the 8800F.
It also contains attempts to control image degradation due to vibrations.
